Frenkel and Schottly defects are shown by ionic solids. The cation is dislocated from its normal site to interstitial site in Frenkel Defect. Same no. of cation and anion are absent in Schottky defect. These two are stoichiometric defects. Metal deficiency defect is a nonstoichiometric defect. In vacancy defect, some of the lattice sites remain vacant and thus, leads to decrease in density of the solid.
