Enantiomers are non-superimposable mirror images of each other. They have identical

physical properties, i.e. melting point, boiling point, refracive index etc. and differ only with respect to the rotation of plane polarized light. If one of the enantiomer is dextrorotatory, then the other will be laevorotatory.
