Text Solution
Verified by ExpertsThe correct answer is:
B
Primary meristem gives rise to primary tissues. The shoot apical meristem is a type of primary meristem that appears early in life. Medullary ray is a differentiated tissue formed from the primary meristem. When some primary differentiated tissues dedifferentiate, they form secondary meristems such as the interfascicular cambium. Secondary meristems give rise to secondary tissues like secondary xylem and phloem.
