Agarose is extracted from the red seaweed and basically, it is a polysaccharide. The main use of agarose gel in the electrophoresis procedure is to visualize and identify the DNA fragments.
Agarose gel electrophoresis is performed to separate the DNA fragments of varying lengths. As the shorter DNA fragments will move faster as compared to the larger DNA fragments.
And all these fragments will move towards the positive electrode as the DNA carries the negative charge.
The sample shows maximum similarity with individual as maximum bands are similar in both.
