During the transmission of nerve impulse through a nerve fiber, the polarity changes as in resting condition the potential on the inner side of the plasma membrane is negative while outer is positive but during nerve impulse transmission the potential on the inner side of the plasma membrane becomes positive due to rapid influx of
ions while outer becomes negative known as depolarisation. After this
channels closes and repolarisation occurs which again changes the polarity of membrane.
