Text Solution
Verified by ExpertsThe correct answer is:
A
Given equation (b – c)x 2 + (c – a) x + (a – b) = 0
Putting x = 1, we get
(b – c) + (c – a ) + (a – b) = 0
So x = 1 is a root but both roots are equal so both roots are1, 1
Now sum of roots 1 + 1 =
⇒ 2 =
⇒ 2b – 2c = – c + a
⇒ 2b = a + c
⇒ a, b, c A.P.
