Consider the 12 places in a row

The boys can be arranged in the 6 odd places and the girls in 6 even places in ∠ ∠ 6 ∠ ∠ 6 ways. The boys and girls can be interchanged in 2 ways.
∴ ∴ Total 2( ∠ ∠ 6) 2 ways.
