If the system of following equations in x & y

2x+ 3y + 4 = 0 ; 3x + 5y + 6 = 0 ;

2x 2 + 6xy + 5y 2 + 8x + 12y + 1 = t

consists of a solution. Then find the numeric value of t 4 .

The correct answer is:
2401

Ans. 2401

Sol. 2x 2 + 6xy + 5y 2 + 8x + 12y + 1 = t

⇒ x(2x + 3y + 4)+y(3x + 5y + 6)+4x + 6y+1–t = 0

So we have equation as

2x + 3y + 4 = 0 … (1)

3x + 5y + 6 = 0 … (2)

and 4x + 6y + 1 – t = 0 …(3)

for existance of solution = 0

⇒ t = – 7

t 4 = 2401
