Case(i)- cot x > 0 ∴ cotx = cotx+ 
∴ 
= 0 (impossible)
Case (ii)- cot x < 0
– cot x=cot x + 
⇒ 
= 0 { sinx ≠ 0}
⇒ cosx = 
⇒ x = 2n π ± 2 π /3, n ∈ I
we know x ∈ (0, 2 π ) ∴ x = 2 π /3
