Now tangent is equally inclined to axis whose slope is ± 1
∴ 
⇒ α 1/2 + β 1/2 = 0 …..(1)
also α 3/2 + β 3/2 = a 3/2 .….(2)
(1) & (2) have no solution
Now 
⇒ α 1/2 = β 1/2 ⇒ α = β
∴ α 3/2 + β 3/2 = a 3/2 ; ⇒ α = β = 
⇒ there is only one solution
