CHECK THE SOLUTION.

Let the centre of the circle be (h, k) and radius equal to ‘r’

…..(i)

and = r ⇒ 2 – h – k = r .....(ii)

and h = 1 – r.......(iii)

put h = 1 – r in (ii), we get k = r (1 – ) + 1

Now put the values of h and k in (i), we get

hence radius i.e. is the root of the equation
