Sol. 2[x] + 3 = 3 [x–2] + 5
⇒ 2[x] + 3 = 3[x] –6 + 5 …..([x + I] = [x] + I if I is an integer)
⇒ [x] = 4 ⇒ 4 ≤ x < 5 ∴ x = 4 + f …..(0 ≤ f < 1)
y = 2.4 + 3 = 11
∴ [x + y] = [11 + 4 + f] = 15
