The sum of the roots of the equation x + 1 − 2 log 2 (3 + 2 x ) + 2 log 4 (10 − 2 − x ) = 0, is :
Text Solution
Verified by ExpertsThe correct answer is:
B
x + 1 − 2 log 2 (3 + 2 x ) + 2 log 4 (10 − 2 − x ) = 0
log2(2 x+1 ) − log 2 (3 + 2 x ) 2 + log 2 (10 − 2 − x ) = 0

⇒ 20.2 x − 2 = 9 + 2 2x + 6.2 x
∴ (2 x ) 2 − 14 (2 x ) + 11 = 0
Roots are

x 1 + x 2 = log 2 (11)
