Let f (x) = x 3 + 3x 2 + 6x + 3 - 2cosx
f ' (x) = 3x 2 + 6x + 6 + 2sinx
f ' (x) = 3 (x + 2x+2) +2sinx
f ' (x) is always positive as the minimum value of 3 (x 2 + 2x + 2) is 3 and that of 2 sin x is -2, so f (x) is increasing in (0,1)
f(0) = 1, f(l) = 13-2cosx> 0
f (x) = 0 has no solution in (0,1)
