f(n + 1) = 2f(n) + 1
∴ f(2) = 2f(1) + 1 = 2. 1 + 1 = 3 = 2 2 – 1 ⇒ f(3) = 7 = 2 3 – 1
f(4) = 15 = 2 4 – 1
Similarly f(n) = 2 n – 1
