In a circuit shown in the figure, the capacitor C is initially uncharged and the key K is open. In this condition, a current of 1 A flows through the 1 resistor. The key is closed at time t = t 0 . Which of the following statement(s) is(are) correct? [Given: e -1 = 0.36

A
The value of the resistance R is 3 .
B
For t < t 0 , the value of current I 1 is 2 A.
C
Mt = t 0 + 7.2 s, the current in the capacitor is 0.6 A.
D
For t , the charge on the capacitor is 12 C.

The correct answer is:
CHECK THE SOLUTION.

(a,b,c,d)

Sol.

By writing voltage drop across

0+5+1x1=V

V=6

Similarly across R

0+ 15-IxR = 6

IR = 9

across 3

6 - 3 I 1 = 0

I 1 = 2A

Hence option is correct

1=1+2 (by KCL)

I = 3

IR = 9

R = 3

Option is correct
