Vitamin K is also called as anti haemorrhagic factor. It is the factor required for the synthesis of prothrombin, hence essential for blood coagulation. It is also important for proper liver functioning. Deficiency of vitamin K leads to bleeders disease or haemorrhages and liver malfunctioning. Calcium is the major component of bones and teeth. Calcium is also required for blood clotting, muscle contraction, ATPase, Nerve impulse transmission and heart functioning etc.
