Given below are two statements.
Statement I Electromagnetic induction is a source of emf which based upon law of conservation of energy in which mechanical energy is converted into electrical energy.
Statement II If the coil is cut, then induced emf will be produced but the current will not flow.
In the light of above statements, choose the correct one given below.

When the magnetic flux linked with coil varies continuously, the emf is induced across the coil and if circuit is closed, then induced current starts flowing. Thus, if coil is cut, then emf is produced but no current will flow. Electromagnetic induction is a source of emf which is based upon the law of conservation of energy in which mechanical energy is converted into electrical energy.
