Taxonomic hierarchy goes like this:

Kingdom → Phylum → Class → Order → Family → Genus → Species

If two animals are in the same kingdom but different classes, then:

• They cannot be in the same class, order, or family (because those are lower categories).

• But they can still be in the same phylum, since phylum is above class.
