The inner membrane of mitochondria forms a number of infoldings called the cristae towards the matrix. Thylakoids are organized flattened membranous sacs present in the stroma of chloroplasts. Every chromosome essentially has a primary constriction or the centromere. Centromere holds two chromatids of a chromosome.
