Let us suppose RR as cow with red coat and WW as bull having white coat. Then the cross between them will produce RW offsprings with roan coat in
generation. Roan means that their coat is red with a liberal sprinkling of white hairs. In cattle, the alleles producing coat color are co-dominant. Co-dominance is the phenomenon in which both the alleles of a contrasting character are expressed in heterozygous condition.
