The pars distalis region of pituitary, commonly called anterior pituitary, produces growth hormone (GH), prolactin (PRL), thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), adrenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH), luteinizing hormone and follicle stimulating hormone.(FSH). Low secretion of GH results in stunted growth resulting in pituitary dwarfism.
