The juxtaglomerular cells of kidney produce a peptide hormone called erythropoietin which stimulates erythropoiesis (formation of RBC). The cells of rostral adenohypophysis synthesizes hormones of anterior lobe of pituitary. Alpha cells of pancreas secrete glucagon hormone. The cells of bone marrow are responsible for formation of formed elements (RBCs, WBCs and platelets).
