Balanoglossus and Branchiostoma are both triploblastic, eucoelomate, and have bilateral symmetry.

Balanoglossus and Branchiostoma are both marine animals. Balanoglossus is a burrowing animal found in shallow waters between tide marks along the coast of warm and temperate oceans. Branchiostoma is one of the few living genera of lancelets.
Hemichordates (Balanoglossus) have a rudimentary structure in the collar region called stomochord, a structure similar to notochord. In Cephalochordata (Branchiostoma), notochord extends from head to tail region and is persistent throughout their life.
