A long solenoid of 50 cm length having 100 turns carries a current of 2.5 A The magnetic field at the centre of the solenoid is :
Text Solution
Verified by ExpertsThe correct answer is:
Given that,
Length of solenoid, L = 50 cm
Number of turns, N = 100
Current, 1 = 2.5 A
Now,
Magnetic field at centre of solenoid,
=200 turns/ m
I = 2.5 A
By substituting the value of 1 in the equation of magnetic field we get
B = 4
x 10 -7 x200x2.5
= 6.28x10 -4 T
