Which one of the following plants shows vexillary aestivation and diadelphous stamens?
Text Solution
Verified by ExpertsThe correct answer is:
In vexillary or papilionaceous aestivation, the largest (standard) overlaps the two lateral petals (wings) which in turn overlap the two smallest anterior petals (keel). When stamens are united by their filaments into two bunch or two bundles, it is termed as diadelphous. E.g., pea (Pisum sativum)
