The spermatogonia is a diploid cell containing 48 chromosome.

During spermatogenesis, the secondary spermatocytes undergo the second meiotic division to produce four equal haploid spermatid which are transformed into spermatozoa by the process, called spermiogenesis.

The process in which sperms are finally released from seminiferous tubules is known as spermiation.

In male, FSH acts on Leydig cell and stimulate synthesis and secretion of androgen, whereas LH acts on sertoli cell and stimulate secretion of factrs which help in process of spermiogenesis.
