HCOOH CO[Y]+H 2 O

(iii) Only K 4 Fe(CN) 6 gives CO with conc. H 2 SO 4 according to the following reaction.

K 4 [Fe(CN) 6 ]+6H 2 SO 4 (conc.) + 6H 2 O 2K 2 SO 4 + FeSO 4 + 3(NH 4 ) 2 SO 4 + 6CO

(i) Malonic acid gives CsO 2 ;

(ii) C 3 O 2 gives CO 2 .

(iv) Action of cone. HNO 3 on charcoal gives CO 2 .
