Only statement is correct. Other statements are incorrect. Fehling’s reagent is a mixture of two solutions, i.e. Fehling’s solution A and B. Fehling’s solution A is an aqueous copper sulphate and Fehling’s solution B is an alkaline sodium potassium tartarate. When an aldehyde is heated with Fehling’s reagent, a reddish brown precipitate is obtained.
