∴ x > 0 as a > 2

Now

⇒ x 2 – 8ax + 15a 2 = 0

⇒ x = 3a, 5a

∴ x = 9 (given)

⇒ x = 3,

But a > 2

∴ a = 3

at a = 3 ⇒ x = 9, 15
