Sol. For linearly dependent vectors
(i – 2j + 3k) + m(– 2i + 3j – 4k) + n(i – j + xk) = 0 ⇒ – 2m + n = 0, – 2 + 3m – n = 0
3 – 4m + nx = 0 ∴
= 0 is x = 1
