In gymnosperms, pollination occurs when pollen grains land on the ovule. These grains do not immediately fertilize the egg. Instead, they are temporarily stored in a small cavity at the micropylar end of the ovule, called the pollen chamber.

This chamber ensures that pollen grains are close to the egg, ready for the pollen tube to grow toward the egg later.

It is not the microsporangium (that’s in the male cone), nor a cell in pollen, nor an opening in the megagametophyte.
