In spite of interspecific competition in nature, which mechanism the competing species might have evolved for their survival?

In case of competition, species have evolved a mechanism called 'Resource Partitioning' in order to co-exist. In this, species avoid competition by choosing different times for feeding or different foraging patterns. This process will not lead to the exclusion of species. Competitive release is the process in which a species whose distribution is restricted to a small geographical area because of the presence of a competitively superior species, is found to expand its distributional range dramatically when the competing species is experimentally removed. Mutualism is a type of interaction in which both the species that are interacting with each other are benefitted. Predation is a type of interaction in which one species is benefitted and other is harmed.
