Ball again collide on the inclined plane when y = 0, as shown in the figure.

y = u y t + ⇒ 0 = t

t = 0 & t = cos α = = 2 ×

Now x-co-ordinet of the ball at the time of striking

X = sin α t + g sin α t 2 ⇒ X = sin α .

⇒ x = 2h sin α . 2 + 4 h sin α = 8h sin α (along the incline plane)
