When (y A – x A ) reaches to the maxima,

= 0

= 0

By solving, x A =

Total vapour pressure over the solution

= x A pº A + x B pº B = pº B + (pº A – pº B ) x A

= pº B + (pº A – pº B )

= = 10 × 15 = 150 torr
