Chemistry Chemical Equilibrium General Numeric Response
Published on: August 14, 2026

K p is 9 atm 2 for the reaction: LiCl.3NH 3 (s) LiCl.NH 3 (s) + 2NH 3 (g) at 40°C. How many moles of ammonia must be added at this temperature to a 5 litre flask containing 0.1 mole of LiCl. NH 3 in order to completely convert the solid to LiCl.3NH 3 ? Multiply the obtained answer by 100. Round off the answer to the nearest integer.

The correct answer is:
0.7844

(78 mole)

LiCI. 3NH 3 (s) LiCI. NH 3 (s) + 2NH 3 (g) K p = 9 atm 2 = p 2 NH3

0.1 a p NH3 = 3 atm

no. of moles of NH 3 at equilibrium = = 0.5844

For 0.1 mol of LiCI NH 3 to convent 0.2 mol of NH 3 must be needed.

Total number of mol of NH 3 req. = 0.7844

Answer : 0.7844 × 100 = 78.44

After rounding of Answer is 78.
