Sol. Two waves will interfere to produce standing wave only if

(i) Amplitude is same

(ii) Travelling in opposite direction

(ii)

Sol. Two waves will interfere to produce beats only if (i) Frequency is slightly difference

Sol. Phase difference between wave III and V is π/2
