Overview of ISCE Class 11

• Board: CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations)

• Medium of Instruction: English only (compulsory for all subjects)

• Final Exam Conducted by: School-based, but follows ISC pattern and guidelines

Stream Definitions (Science)

Medical Stream:

This stream is ideal for students aiming for NEET, BDS, BAMS, BSc in Biology, Nursing, etc.

Non-Medical Stream:

This stream is suited for JEE, B.Tech, Architecture, NDA, Data Science aspirants.

Subject Structure & Selection Rules

• English: Compulsory
• 3 Core Subjects: As per stream
• 1 Elective/Optional Subject
• Note: Subjects must be chosen carefully as they continue in Class 12 and appear on final ISC certificate.

Internal & External Assessment

Evaluation & Promotion Criteria

• Passing Marks: 35% in each subject (Theory + Practical combined)
• Promotion to Class 12 depends on:
  • Aggregate of best 4/5 subjects
  • Performance in final term + internal assessment
  • 75% minimum attendance required
• Regular unit tests, mid-terms, and pre-annual exams are conducted

Career Pathways

1. Medical Stream:

• NEET Aspirants: MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, BVSc
• Biology Fields: B.Sc. (Microbiology, Genetics, Biotech), Nursing, Paramedical
• Other Exams: CUET, AIIMS B.Sc. programs

2. Non-Medical Stream:

• JEE Mains & Advanced: B.Tech, Engineering Colleges
• NDA: For defense entry (PCM compulsory)
• BCA/BSc CS: With Computer Science/Economics
• Architecture: Needs PCM + NATA exam
