NEET Councelling

  • Counselling for Seats Under 15% All India Quota and Seats in Central Institutions Including AFMC, ESI, Delhi University (DU), BHU, AMU, and Deemed UniversitiesThe online counselling process for the 15% All India Quota and for all seats in Central Institutions—including AFMC, ESI, DU, BHU, AMU, and Deemed Universities—will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).   • Candidates who qualify are strongly advised to thoroughly read all counselling-related information and understand the necessary steps required for participation. The NEET UG 2021 counselling for the 15% All India Quota will consist of two rounds. In contrast, counselling for Central Institutions and Deemed Universities will be conducted in three rounds: Round 1, Round 2, and a Mop-Up Round.
Counselling for Seats Under 15% All India Quota and Seats in Central Institutions Including AFMC, ESI, Delhi University (DU), BHU, AMU, and Deemed Universities
  • The online counselling process for the 15% All India Quota and for all seats in Central Institutions—including AFMC, ESI, DU, BHU, AMU, and Deemed Universities—will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). Counselling for Seats Other Than 15% All India Quota
  • Candidates seeking admission to State Medical Colleges/Universities/Institutions based on the NEET (UG) 2025 merit list must follow the counselling guidelines issued by the respective State Government and/or the concerned Medical/Dental College, Institution, or University. Counselling for seats in Private Medical Colleges (excluding Deemed Universities) will be managed by the respective State Governments.
  • The admitting/counselling authorities will prepare merit lists based on the categories declared by candidates during the application process. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will not entertain any modifications to candidate data after the designated correction window has closed. Under no circumstances will NTA alter the data submitted by a candidate in the online Application Form once the results have been announced.
  • In the application form, candidates' categories have been recorded based on the Central Category List. However, for counselling and admission to seats other than the 15% All India Quota, candidates must register using the applicable State Category List, in accordance with their eligibility. The merit list will be compiled by the respective counselling authority accordingly. Domicile requirements will be as per the regulations of the concerned State, and NTA holds no responsibility in this regard.
  • During counselling, the eligibility criteria, self-declarations, and supporting documents of shortlisted candidates will be verified in line with the standards and procedures set by the relevant authorities and/or Medical/Dental Colleges.

NEET UG Counselling 2025 – Step-wise Procedure

Registration Process

Step 1 – New User Registration

Candidates must begin by clicking the official NEET UG Counselling 2025 registration link. They will be required to enter details such as:

  • Stream (Medical/Dental)
  • NEET UG Roll Number
  • Application Number
  • Candidate's Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Security Pin

Upon submission, an agreement page will appear. Click ‘I Agree’ to proceed. Login credentials will be generated and must be saved. A password and security question are to be set.

Step 2 – Submission of Personal Details

Enter personal information like mother’s name, father’s name, and residential address. These must match the official documents, as they cannot be edited later.

Step 3 – Payment of Counselling Fee

Candidates must pay a non-refundable registration fee and a refundable tuition fee online.

Step 4 – Generation of Registration Slip

After successful fee payment, a registration slip will appear. Print it and proceed by clicking ‘Login’ to continue.

Choice Filling & Locking Process

Step 5 – Display of Available Choices

Once counselling begins, the ‘Available Choices’ tab becomes active. Options are listed for both 15% AIQ and Deemed Universities if applicable.

Step 6 – Choice Selection

Click the ‘+’ icon to add a preference. Rearrange or delete using:

  • Up/Down Arrows
  • Drag and Drop
  • Delete Option
  • Save & Continue or Save & Go to Homepage
Step 7 – Choice Locking

Choices must be locked before the deadline. If not, the system will auto-lock the last saved list.

Step 8 – Printout of Filled Choices

Candidates should print the final choice list. Printing is available even if the list was auto-locked.

Seat Allotment & Admission Process
Step 9 – Seat Allotment Result

Published after each round, includes:

  • Seat Allotment List
  • Seat Allotment Letter (includes name, roll number, category, course, college, and quota)

The letter must be downloaded and submitted during college reporting.

Step 10 – Reporting to the Allotted College

Report with original documents and self-attested copies within the deadline.

  • NEET 2024 Admit Card
  • NEET 2024 Result/Rank Letter
  • Date of Birth Certificate (if not in 10th certificate)
  • Class 10 & 12 Certificates and Marksheet
  • 8 Passport-size Photos (same as application)
  • Provisional Allotment Letter
  • Valid ID Proof (Aadhaar/Passport/Driving Licence/PAN Card)
  • SC/ST Certificate (in Hindi/English or with translation)
  • OBC Certificate (must match Central List, not Creamy Layer)
  • Disability Certificate (as per RPWD Act, 2016)

Important: Candidates without original documents or with only a certificate of submission from another college will NOT be allowed to take admission.
