The SAT (also known as the Scholastic Aptitude Test) is a standardised assessment, which is administered in undergraduate admissions in the United States (and to a limited extent other countries), including Canada, the United Kingdom, and Italy. It measures reading, writing, mathematics, and logical thinking. By “March 2023”, the SAT will be delivered digitally via the Bluebook App and will be administered in the form of a “computer–adaptive test.”

The test time of the new Digital SAT is 2 hours and 14 minutes (with a 10-minute break), shortened as compared to the initial three-hour test. It has been reduced to 98 questions as opposed to 154 questions.
The SAT is now computer adaptive, with the difficulty of the questions adapting to your responses. This gives a more individualised evaluation of the student's abilities.

The Digital SAT could be taken by students on their personal laptops, tablets, or iPads. The College Board can also be asked to provide devices in case they are not available.
