We know that transfer of momentum will be maximum when target is massive and transfer of kinetic energy will be maximum when target and projectile are having same mass. It means statement and are correct, but statement and are incorrect because when target is very light, then after collision it will move with double the velocity of projectile and when collision is oblique and m 2 at rest with after collision the ball move perpendicular to each other.
