Sol. v ∝ = = 1.2

(ii)

Sol. %(v) = {%(T) + %(m) + %( λ )}

= (2 + 0.61 + 1) ≈ 1.8 %

(iii)

Sol. % change in time taken in crossing string

= (% change in tension) = 1%

∴ Time taken = 10 – 0.1 = 9.9 sec
