The troposphere is the lowest layer of our atmosphere. Starting at ground level to about 12 km above the earth surface.
The stratosphere extends from the top of troposphere to about 50 km above the earth surface.
Above the stratosphere is the mesosphere it extends upwards to a height of about 80 km above the earth surface.
The ionosphere is not a distinct layer like the others mentioned above. Ionosphere is found above the mesosphere.
