Sol. When string become slack apply equation for centripetal force.

= mg cos 60º v = .....(i)

apply energy conservation

mu 2 = mv 2 + mga (1 + cos ) ....(ii)

from equation (i) & (ii)

u =

apply equation for centripetal force at lowest position.

T – mg =

put the value of u and we get

T = 9mg/2
