A perfectly inelastic ball is thrown vertically upwards with a speed of 40 m/s. Because acceleration due to gravity g = 10 m/s 2 always acts on the ball it reaches up to a certain maximum height then stops for a moment and comes down wards to hit ground. Generally we neglect the resistance force by air but many quantities in the motion of ball will be changed if air-resistance is not neglected. Knowing that air-resistance always opposes the motion ball answer the following –
